Radiator dried oranges

I sliced a couple of oranges the other day, patted them dry with some kitchen roll and lay them over my radiators for 48 hours.
Why haven't I done this before? They came out great, lovely and crisp and orange!
I tied some around bunches of cinnamon sticks...
I hung some on the branches of the tree...
And the rest I scattered into my wooden bowl of pinecones.

  2. Aha, pleased they came out well for you, so much easier than trying not to burn them in an oven.

  5. We'll be drying ours in front of the fire like we did with the saltdough ornaments, but this is a great idea too.

  7. Fantastic!! I've always wanted to do this, but figured that it would be a waste of energy if I did them in the oven. I bet your house smells wonderful while they are drying too! xxx

  8. Thanks, I had no idea you could do this on the radiator, like lily I always forget about them in the oven and burn them! Doing this tomorrow now (just have to make sure they don't get eaten by marauding children, or knocked down the back to moulder forever more)
